Hi, I am Tracey

I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Fitness Coach (Milton Skating Club) with a passion for food, movement and living life on MY terms!

I became passionate about fitness and food in my late 20’s. I fell in love with group exercise classes and developed a love for cooking and making recipes healthier. But, the “healthier” I became, the more I developed a distorted view of food and my body.

I started restricting certain foods and entire food groups. I over exercised hoping that making my body smaller would make me feel better. Deep down inside, I knew this was not healthy, yet I continued this behaviour for a number of years.

I was working long hours as a Human Resources professional and exercising more than my body could handle. I would drag myself out of bed at the crack of dawn no matter how tired I was, so as not to miss a workout and feel like a failure. People told me I was the picture of “health,” however health does not have a look or a size and what I was doing was not healthy at all. I took exercise and healthy eating to the extreme and was still not comfortable in the skin I was in.

I have worked hard to repair my relationship with food and movement over the past ten years. I was able to leave behind the restrictions that had taken over my life and began to trust my body’s internal cues!

What changed?

I began paying attention to when I felt hungry enough to eat, instead of only allowing myself to eat when I felt it was time to eat.

I started allowing myself to choose foods that I loved and that left me satisfied, rather than choosing only foods that felt “safe,” or “good.”

Most importantly, I stopped feeling guilt, shame, and anxiety around my diet and thoughts about food stopped ruling my life.

I still love to move my body as it makes me feel better. However, I now view it as movement for the soul. Some days, I feel like doing HIIT workouts, but other days I choose a walk, yoga or laying on the couch! I listen to my body more now than ever when it comes to food and movement.

The main difference is that I listen to my body now and love it for what it can do. I move to celebrate my body, not to punish it.

I share my story with you in an effort to help you realize that you are so much more than what you eat and how long you exercise. I now have a healthier mindset and connection with food and my body, and I want that for you too.

We only have one body and need to treat that body as we would treat our best friends - with kindness and compassion. I believe you can attain your best life by making healthy choices that not only support your body, but also your mind and spirit.

I do not believe in restrictive diets and guilt over food choices.
Trust me when I tell you that guilt is not worth your time!

I work with women to become intuitive with their food choices and find movement that brings them joy. This will not be a linear journey but it will be your journey.

It takes work to leave diet culture behind.
I will help you determine what that looks like in real life, for YOU.

I take a non-diet approach to a lifestyle that focuses on balance and is sustainable for you in the long run. I work from a health at every size perspective (HAES). By listening intuitively to your body and honouring your journey, you can accomplish whatever you want to.

I believe all bodies are deserving of respect and trust no matter what size, shape or colour. Healthy is different for everybody. My goal is to help you develop the skills and mindset shifts you need to redefine health and wellness in a way that works best for you and your body.

Let’s work together to come up with a plan for how you can eat intuitively and not see food as “good” or “bad” anymore, and find a movement plan that
feels good to you and celebrates your body!
